Isn’t it funny how something catches your eye and you immediately think of someone ~ let me explain, Beloved took me to a local Antique/Flea market where by sheer chance my gaze fell upon a pair of Knickerbocker Glory glasses … I snatched them off the shelf like a woman possessed, they were a perfect impromptu gift for Moo, the poor boy was a little bewildered at first ~ until I explained that they were designed to hold a dessert of ‘anything goes’ where all your post dinner delights dwell
If the truth be told we had to make the jelly twice, unbeknown to me it turned out Moo had eaten a few of the jelly squares from the packet the first time round~ no wonder it didn’t set !!
What better way to spend an afternoon post pudding than going for a walk ~ one of the joys of living in rural Lincolnshire is we have ‘Big Skies’ … this is because the land is soooo very flat
Of course it being winter time before long the sun began to set and the sky changed once more
I wonder in years to come when Moo is a young man if he will catch a sight of clouds in the winter sky and think of me and laugh at how Knickerbocker glory glasses made me think of him ??
Sooooo we surprised Moo with a holiday of a lifetime ~ do you know he was so excited he never slept of 24 hrs !!!!!!!!!
Although we have been back a week from our trip I’ve been absolutely shattered we had very little sleep while in Bangkok lots of late nights and lots of very early mornings … just like every good holiday LOL this will be a photo heavy post SORRY
The floating market
The old Rabbit ear photo never ceases to make me giggle
The bridge on the River Kwai was somewhere Moo was eager to visit due to his interest in military history
Some of our days were spiritual
Others we admired the artistic works dotted around the city
Last photo as you must be bored stupid by now
The memories made by us all were priceless, I’m sure Moo will treasure the time spent with Grandpa & I for years to come
Beloved & I have been planning and saving I hasten to add to take Moo on an adventure of a lifetime and ‘Little Man’ had Noooooo idea of what we have in store.
17/10/18 we are picking him up straight from school and taking him to the capital
After a nights stay in a hotel, off to the airport we go ~ then Moo will be taken on his first ever plane flight …goodness I hope this goes well
So where are we off too ??
I have an itinerary arranged that would make a travel agent envious, this includes the railway market, floating market plus something I think Moo will love ~ a long tail boat ride under the bridge on the River Kwai
Last Wednesday 12/9/2018 was one heck of a day !! firstly it was Beloved & I’s wedding anniversary … we have been together … well since forever LOL
If that wasn’t enough of a celebration it also happened to be a very special day for 2nd Born ~ his graduation, it took place in the amazing Lincoln Cathedral
Sorry to bore yo but I’m now about to subject you to a ‘Proud Mummy Moment’ captured for prosperity
Sorry for the photo heavy post …… NOT
I had to smile to myself during the ceremony ~ the graduates from the School of Education were first to grace the stage and everyone clapped politely, yet when every single one of the nurses graduated there were huge cheers & shouts from their peers and family members ~ what a awesome feeling to know my boy and his cohorts are sooo supported as they enter the big wide world
If you jump right over to here and skip to 50 mins 31 seconds (approximately LOL) you can see 2nd Born’s ‘moment’
PS Moo asked me to include this photo at the end of this post
Thank you for bearing with me through out this post … you may now return to your everyday life 🙂
Grandma lets my big brother Moo write on her blog now and again & she said at the grand old age of 2 months I could do my first guest post … obviously she will be doing the typing I’ll be just laying here looking adorable 🙂 Sooooo what does a babe have to post about WELL …
Lets talk sleep
Daddy has been studying for y e a r s, he’s done lots of procedures, work experience in Africa for a month and just lately been doing 3 months experience at a prison !! and now guess what ??
He tells me if there is something I really, really want to do when I grow up and that if I work hard I can do it ~ isn’t that cool
Many thanks to all you who have offered kind thoughts, best wishes and prayers for ‘Fox’ guess what
He has responded well to the antibiotics for suspected meningitis ~ his lumber puncture was tainted with blood and the decision was made rather than put him through the procedure again they would treat him as if he did indeed have the infection. While still a little jaundiced he’s feeding well and the best place for him now is at home with Mummy, Daddy & Big Brother Moo
30/5/2018 – 16.00hrs 2nd Born rang to inform us Mum To Be’s waters had broken so could I have Moo overnight ~ I hadn’t realised it was half term ~ so cue a garbled message to work that I wouldn’t be in tomorrow
31/5/2018 – 16.00hrs Still no baby
At 23.25hrs babe was born ~ a 7lb 10oz boy named Theo-Fox unfortunately not all went quite to plan, little man is in SCBU ~ Special Care Baby Unit, the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and he possibly has an infection as his respirations are quite rapid so they are going to keep a close eye on him for the next few days before he comes home. So get well soon little man we are waiting patiently for you
So a new member of the next generation of the ‘Von Trap Parry’ family has arrived Happy Days 🙂
